About this wine
“1998 was the year my Sommelier studies were completed. Looking for the next move and a new challenge; the decision to study winemaking was made, a step into the unknown, something new & alternative. This wine is a reflection of that, allowing the path to follow its own course, with no knowing where it will lead in the future. In 2010, the wine chosen was Nebbiolo.”
– Andrew Wood, Owner and Winemaker
AROMA: Typical of this variety light red with a hint of rust in colour and aromas with seductive floral overtones of potpourri rose and violet with aromatic spices, citrus peel and brambly fruit.
PALATE: Light to medium weight this wine has on the palate unripe earthy red cherries and plums, firm fleshy tannins with a taut acid line finishing with spice and wood smoke indicative of the time in new French oak.
FOOD PAIRING: Enjoy with Rabbit and Porcini Cannelloni or Roasted baby goat leg from now to 2030.
