Grenache from all over the country has been tasted, assessed and points awarded by a the team of judges to allow the Champion Grenache to be named for the inaugural James Halliday Grenache Challenge which was held a couple of weeks ago just before the judging for the 2017 McLaren Vale Wine show commenced.

Following on from its Bushing Wine Wine as the best wine of show it also took out the Challenge too be a very worthy winner and our neighbours at the cellar door too.

Our second straight release of this noble variety from the 2016 vintage took out a bronze which we are very happy about and look froward to releasing this wine in the New Year, but watch out as we might do a pre-release some time soon.

Check out this video and let James Halliday tell you all about it himself
